A response to the brief which required me to create an exciting make-believe event in which local residents would eagerly participate and engage in. This involved a conducting thorough market research on a local council in order to develop a strong visual branding for the event.
Beyond planning the event and designing the event visuals, I developed a whole new brand called 're-', that would become a sub-branch of the local council. I formed this name after ideating on many words that encouraged sustainable behaviours and attitudes and realised that the name 're-' as a prefix could be an incredibly diverse and adaptable brand tool. Development of the brand involved creating a Mission Statement, a Brand Strategy, setting Brand Values, creating a Who We Are summary, developing a Tag Line, Logo, establishing a Colour Palette, Brand Assets, and designing a Style Guide that would oragnise all of these into a single booklet.
To make it interactive and enjoyable, I also created a goodies bag and a flyer that people could take home. The goodies bag houses packets of seeds encouraging people to go home and plant their own crops, as well as some stickers. The flyer is informational on one side, and on the other side lists all the events, restaurants and workshops happening at the event. I also developed a full functioning website for the brand so that people could visit and find out more information on the 're-' project outside of the event as well as creating a space for potential blog posts and announcements to be made!
